PROPOSITION TWO
Proposition Two calls for the creation of a Citizen Policy Review Board in the City of Orlando . The proposition will be voted on in the November 2006 elections.
Proposition Two will ask voters to adopt an ordinance which creates a Citizen Policy Review Board. The Citizen Policy Review Board will be comprised of nine members that will review City Policies and here concerns from taxpayers. The nine members will be appointed by the Chairman of the Review Board and confirmed by a majority of the board.
The CPRB will have access to all City documents and be able to interview City staff and City suppliers and vendors. The CPRB will have the power to conduct public hearings and will make recommendations to City Council.
The goal of the CPRB is to suggest changes in policy and organization to more efficiently use taxpayer resources and to assist the City Council in making Policy choices.
