PROPOSITION THREE

Proposition Three calls for removal of the “blighted” designation of downtown Orlando . The proposition will be voted on in the November 2006 elections.

Proposition Three will ask voters to adopt an ordinance which removes the blighted designation of downtown Orlando and replaces that designation with the area bounded to the north by SR 50, to the west by John Young Parkway , to the South by the 408, and to the east by Paramore.

The change will more fairly distribute tax resources throughout the City which now primarily goto the downtown core. Subsidizing developments with $1 million condos does not constitute a “blighted” area.
